Un-Masking
What would the world look like if all of us attended this party, that we call life, with our real faces and took off these masks of deception….*A scary notion, I suppose*
It’s like the age old question that every human has a little bit of monster in them that they hide behind their skin mask, now not every monster is bad it’s just that some monsters are just not accepted by the world, acceptance is important. It’s the thing that every human strives for, like he wants to feel accepted in a group of humans or feel like he’s a part of this group, no-one wants to be an odd one in a group of evens
This tendency of humans, to get validation or acknowledgement from people and like he’s now become a part of this social group is important to him, nobody wants to spend his life alone, most of the work that is done by us is for others to see, perceive , admire . I’m not saying that all of the art that is produced or the breakthroughs that were made, was because the artist or scientist had “pleasing people” in it’s mind , they did it because they wanted to, maybe they loved what they did.
Pretending to be someone you are not, seems weird but we do this all the time, that it has now become a necessity, it’s like we have spoken soo much lies that we have become accustomed to it, and human is a scoundrels’ he will get use to anything. We try our best to be moral with our appearances, but there is also an extreme case to this
psychopaths’ that kill people or commit crimes, do it because they want to it’s there real self and they feel no empathy towards the people they kill, because their morality lies in killing people or playing games like death charades with people (plaything’s)
Maybe your unmasking, can also go sideways, you don’t want someone to go on a killing spree just because they want too….
There many monsters in this world, some kill people or some eat them, depends on the level of inhumane nature that you can emit, and you will become this monster of the underworld….but not all monsters kill or eat people, some just tell lies .
Lying monsters are sometimes more heinous or malicious then our cannibals, they wear a mask of lies and things they don’t believe in they pose as normal humans even tho they do not know what it means to be human, there morality is in wearing this mask with pride, the old Mr. Pride the things it made us do and say, if you were to encounter such a monster you would likely be devoured by it, because we are the “lying monster” and also all the other’s
But see for lying you couldn’t go to jail or get a death sentence but eating humans or killing them you would get a lifetime in prison, odd it is our morality.
You gotta stop pretending…but can you?, we switch between mask’s as we see different groups of humans, only you yourself know what you really are just don’t get lost in the switching process or the selection of masks, these people will eat you out…
These morals or codes, the masks you wear, are only good as you allow them to be but when there is an anomaly in the established order of our society, like a bomb going off in a gathering of “important people” , then these masks/morals mean nothing, they wouldn’t stick to them for the sake of individual selves, then maybe to prevent this chaos from happening people tend to wear a mask…
You will never truly know the people that are close to you, when they are with you they are a different person when they are with there parents they are different…
You will never truly know, if the person sitting beside you, really loves you or not. You will never truly know what is inside there heart, maybe hell is a place where you would exactly know who that person felt about
Note to stranger: I have revealed to you my true nature, I took off my mask and asked you to not judge me… you accepted me without my mask, and I’m forever indebted to you for this…stranger, thank you for always indulging me with my mask off and not abandoning me.
