I try to come up with hypothesis to my problems, or if i see something peculiar then i would entertain the thought behind it.

So, some time ago I was at my academy, maths class was going on, me and another fellow was solving a math problem , well I think it was particularly complex than other problems because there was silence in class and almost everybody was doing the same thing, working on the problem , while I was solving it, idk what happened I just suddenly shouted, while pointing at the problem work, HERE IT IS!, I didn’t even like realize that I fucking shouted, everybody turned and looked at me including the sir , it was very embarrassing, all the girls n boys in the class stopped what they were doing and the person solving with me, they just stared at me, and that was not the first time that it had happened to me , well it was first time at the academy.

I got my answer to this weird problem by reading a peculiar book called, “thinking fast and slow”.

I came up with hypothesis:

I thought about this problem of mine throughout my teen life and it really frustrated me, but now

I think I have the answer:

So when I was doing math I was using my system 2* of brain, I was doing a task that required constant effort and mental activity , and system 1* was just sitting idle , it cannot keep me in check in social situations , system 2 does that and it was pre occupied with the task at hand, system 1 is responsible of impulsive things, it entertains intuitive thoughts. The prospect of almost reaching the solution made me jump my mind, system 1(which is not rational), which was idle and took control at that instant, which resulted in my scream.

Footnotes:

* Thinking fast and slow; This is a book by Daniel Kahneman , who is a human behavioral economist and won the nobel prize in 2001, he’s super good at explaining the reason behind “things”, that are mundane to us but have a reason behind them.

*system 2: It is the rational part of the brain, that is not involved in our day to day work, it is usually evoked when we do something hard or that requires a lot of brain power, like when we try something for the first time, we use system 2 but as time progresses we get use to it, so usage of system 2 becomes uncommon.

*system 1:This is where system 1 of brain comes, this brain deals with all the things that we are use to doing, like you can have a flawless social exchange by not thinking too much in turn not relying on system 2( flaw maybe), driving is also one of them that uses system1, exception being that you start solving equations then you need system 2, to think deeply .

Disclaimer: these system doesn’t really exist, our brain is not divided into two system, brain works as a whole, it’s just a way to describe the working of the brain, the responses that are given to certain stimulus are more of like categorize into two system.

Note to stranger: yk, sometimes when I talk to you, it feels very heavy, it’s like you're carrying the burden of the whole world on your shoulders….but thank you for sharing it with me. I can also carry some burden with you and that’s super fine, please don’t ever think otherwise(you are real strong and I’ll be sure to remind you that)….
